Jive
Jive celery is a standout variety that delivers consistently high yields of crisp, flavourful stalks with the classic, refreshing celery taste. Known for its strong resistance to bolting, it thrives both in glasshouses and early outdoor crops, making it a reliable favourite for gardeners craving quality and crunch all season long.

Harvest
June to October

Growing Instructions

  • Planting: Space plants about 30cm apart with the crown at ground level, ideally in a block arrangement to help them self-blanch.
  • Soil: Use firm, fertile, water-retentive soil in a sunny spot.
  • Watering: Keep soil consistently moist—especially during dry weather—to prevent stringy stalks.
  • Feeding: Feed every 10 days with liquid fertiliser once plants reach 30cm tall for the best crop.

Top Tips

  • Planting in blocks rather than rows helps celery stalks blanch naturally, improving texture and flavor.

  • Regular watering is key to crisp, tender celery—don’t let them dry out!
